The leading products of the company Bongsa Molybdenum Disilicide Heating Element Type BS-1700 and BS-1800 element is a high-tech product researched and developed by experts from China and abroad.MoSi2 heating element can quickly form a thin and adhesive anti-oxidizing layer of quartz glass(SiO2),under the high temperature oxidizing condition.If the protective layer was damaged,the element can reform a new one,so MoSi2 heating element has a very good anti-oxidation properties,it also means that the heating element can be used on operation for a much longer time than the traditional one.
The resistivity of the MoSi2 heating element is not changing with the time,so a new one can be installed without affecting the old one,this can result of huge saving in furnace maintenance fees and time as well,increase the working efficiency,this is the key point of MoSi2 heating element being a better material and being widely used.
  
Chemical Properties
    
MoSi2 Heating Element has the ability to withstand oxidation at high temperatures.This is due to the formation of a thin and adhesive protective layer of quartz glass(Sio2)on the surface.When the element temperature over 1700℃,SiO2 protective layer which melting point is 1710℃was fused,
and because of the surface tension,it fused into drops,which is useless.However,when element continue working in oxidizing atmospheres,the SiO2 protective layer is spontaneously rebuilt.
Notice:It is no good to use Molybdenum Disilicide Heating Element for long—term within a range of 400-700℃.Otherwise the element will be powdered by the strong low temperature oxidation.

Resistance Properties
    
The resistivity of MoSi2 Heating Element increases sharply with temperature,faster warming and power consumption low.The resistance of MoSi2 Heating Element does not change due to ageing even after having been in operation for a long time at high temperatures.There is only a slight reduction during the first period of time.Which means element can easily be replaced without the performance of other elements connected in series being influenced.
